We also supply Meri-White, Gum Tragacanth, Gloucose, and last but not least our wonderful glue. (which has become a favourite)
Shake the bottle before opening, use sparingly, it likes to be left for a few seconds before building up your project, it becomes nice & tacky when used, rather than wet.


Recipe for Royal Icing using Meri-White
The following recipe makes approximately 1kg of Royal Icing.
- 20g Meri-White
- 133ml Luke warm water
- 800g Sieved icing sugar
Dissolve the Meri-white in the water in a grease free bowl.
Add half the sugar and mix by hand until completely combined.
Add the remaining icing sugar a little at a time. Use your mixer with the beater attachment and beat on the slowest speed until the icing is at the desired consistency.
To prevent drying out cover the icing with a clean damp tea towel and wrap with Clingfilm/polythene.
Sometimes this icing softens after about an hour, you can always add a little extra icing sugar and re-beat if necessary.
Basic Recipe for Meringues
The following recipe makes approximately 1kg of Royal Icing.
- 75g Meri-White
- 500ml Luke warm water
- 1kg Caster Sugar
Dissolve the Meri-white in the water in a grease free bowl. Use your mixer with the whisk attachment. Gradually add the sugar and continue to whisk until a firm peak is achieved.
